Chronic Hives for Two Years = No Fun...

No, those aren't a picture of my hives, but they look pretty close! I have now been suffering from almost daily breakouts of hives for two years. Not really an anniversary that you would want to celebrate. I do have to say that the current medication that I am on has made my condition bearable, but I would still like to not worry about breaking out in hives randomly for no reason.
I just went to the dermatologist last week and he is starting me on some new medication. Most of you probably already read about my enjoyable (not) experience with getting my blood drawn on facebook. Luckily I didn't get any bruises from all those pokes! Pretty amazing!
The new medication I am starting is called Enbrel. (pictured above) The doctor told me that I would be getting a pen autoinjector, but when I got the medication home I have pre-filled syringes. Yikes! The third picture is of the syringe. I am proud of myself because I actually was able to inject myself with it, and I didn't even freak out (much). It was kind of stressful, but I follwed the instructions online and it went okay.
My doctor studies chronic autoimmune hives cases like mine, and he has seen a lot of success with Enbrel. He said that two of his patients had hives for over 20 years (I can't even imagine that, knock on wood) and Enbrel helped them be hive free in 6 months. I hope to be another one of those success stories! Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

Poor little Beckett is so worn out after a long day of getting his picture taken! I love how he sleeps with part of his eye open.

My two favorite tadpoles just hanging out.

My new favorite pic of Alexis. Such a pretty little girl!

My Adorable Nephew Max!!!

Max was a frog for Halloween- So cute!
This is Max and I at his house right after he was blessed! It is so cool that he got to wear the same blessing outfit that his dad (Eric) wore! He even has the same little shoes!
Hi Max!!!
Mommy, Daddy, and Max!
Max was really well behaved even though everyone wanted to hold him and play with him!

This is a video I took of Max when I was babysitting him! He makes such cute noises! What a silly boy!

Alexis' Baby Blessing

I showed this picture to some people at work and they wouldn't believe that Alexis was a real baby! They said she is so beautiful and perfect that they were sure that she was a doll!
She was such a good baby and we all love her!

Don't have a zebra? Just paint a donkey!

Lol. This photo is from a zoo in Gaza. For some reason or another they are unable to keep zebras in their zoo. They came up with the solution to just paint some donkeys black and white. Apparently the kids love it anyway!

Or maybe the donkey is just dressed like a zebra for Halloween!

I love being an aunt!

This weekend I got the chance to watch Beckett while Mom, Dad, Cecily, and Ryan went to General Conference. Beckett was really well behaved, and he didn't even have any diaper explosions while I was watching him. (Just before and after lol). Anyway, he has decided that he loves to eat things, especially his hands. This video proves it!

I am excited to go to Idaho later this month for Alexis' baby blessing. I will get to see Alexis and Max! It is so fun being an aunt, it is the best thing ever!

Beckett visits Great Grandma Buhler's house

Great Uncle Ross came to say hi to Beckett, and Great Grandma Buhler was happy to hold Beckett.

Great Grandma Buhler read Beckett's shirt. "Pinch me! I'm cute!" She said, "I would never pinch you! But you sure are cute!"

Great Aunt Judith with baby Beckett.

Great Grandma Buhler loves babies, and she had so much fun holding Beckett.

Beckett was happy to see his great grandma.

Beckett just chilling

Beckett was having fun sitting on the couch while everyone else was off doing other things.

Good morning, world!

He was pretty comfortable there.

He was just relaxing after a big night of sleeping.

Beckett likes to pose and get his picture taken.

He started blowing bubbles at me, and they kind of look like teeth, which is weird.

He was so happy to be with his Grandma again!

Beckett loved the frog costume that Aunt Deserae and Grandma found for him!

Ribbit Ribbit!

Hi, everyone!

Cousins Alexis and Beckett

Beckett is only 2 1/2 months, but he is more than twice as big as Alexis! When Alexis was at the hospital, the nurses weighed Beckett and he was 14 1/2 pounds!

Beckett and Alexis are so cute together.

Alexis is saying, "Beckett, why are you crying?"

I am having such a fun time being an aunt to the most adorable kids in the world!

Beckett already loves Alexis!

They were both so tired.

They were so excited to meet each other that they promptly fell asleep. :)

Baby Alexis :)

Baby Alexis is so beautiful. We are so happy that she has finally arrived!

This is baby Alexis right after she was born! Look at those beautiful big eyes! She was wide awake right after she was born, she was looking around at everything!

What a cutie!

She was so tired after being born!

So pretty!

Grandma bought Alexis a beautiful hat and a bow. She is already playing dress up!
